Glenn, KJ7JIV

Dick, KD7FY

Now on to what actually happened to the site!

First the Door

Above, is the original door.  Note that at some point someone tried to get into the building, and tried to pry the door open.  Look to the bottom right of the door to see the damage.

Below, Jim (who is an accomplished do everything, do it once, and do it right person), can be seen in the next few  images as he removes the damaged door parts, and rewelds new metal in place of old damaged metal.

Note the bullet holes in the door as well…

Here the new metal is added in…

The new metal is readied for welding…

Done…

Here James, KJ7CNJ, puts on the paint…

and finally finished…

Next came the building and roof

Note the 3 inches of overgrowth on the roof of the building…

After scraping, and with tar partially applied…

All four walls were scraped, cleaned, then painted by Lynaee and Cathryn!  THis was done during the heatwave we had in the area of 100 plus temperatures…  Many thanks to both of them!!

The finished building

Many thanks to the members of EARS that helped in this project during one of the hottest times in the areas history!!  If you see these folks at the next meeting, take the time to thank them!

THANK YOU ALL!!!
