President

Welcome current and prospective members of EARS.

At the September 2023 EARS meeting, members approved a new constitution and bylaws.  The new constitution and bylaws maybe be viewed and/or downloaded from the EARS webpage under “About Us” and “Documents.”

With the new constitution and bylaws, EARS will soon be applying to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for 501(3)(3) nonprofit designation.  EARS is currently an IRS-designated 501(c)(7) non-profit organization. We will let everyone know the status of this initiative.

On December 1, 2023, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between EARS and the City of Springfield was adopted and signed by the City Manager.  The MOU is available on the EARS website under About Us/Documents.  The signed MOU is the first step in EARS’ goal of providing assistance to the City of Springfield.  In the coming months, the EARS Board of Directors, members, and partners will begin the process of identifying people that will lead our efforts and resources needed to fulfill goals.  Stay tuned!
